I added a few mods for my own convience, but with an external frame thats a super easy thing to do. The steadiness is incredible and the ease and comfort cant be beat. I bunch light and try not for you to ever take more than 27-40lbs. I will have simply no problems if i ever do need to replace this pack, with purchasing the exact same one again. I just went back from a three day hiking trip in Sequoia national playground and the bryce pack performed very well. I loved each of the ALPS Mountaineering Bryce External Frame Backpacks it made preparing my smaller items very basic and eliminated me having to entry the main compartment on a trail. Seemed very durable and i also can’t really think of anything negative to say about this particular pack. I used a moisture bladder in the top zip pouch which worked perfectly. This is usually a well designed pack and them handled the approximately 40 weight I had loaded in the idea. The waist belt and connectors padding was adequate for the load however if you prepared on really loading it large over 50 pounds they are sometimes a little lacking. All in just about all a great pack I would certainly recommend it.
